Youth

YOUTH

Our Youth Ministry (from Year 7 up to Year 13) is designed around our desire to see teenagers come to know Jesus and mature as followers of Jesus. This is done through weekly bible studies, fortnightly Friday night activities and monthly Gravity Services.

All Children's Ministry leaders have current Working With Children's Checks. Leaders are required to undergo rigorous safety checks through the Presbyterian Church of Victoria's Safe Church Unit to receive approval to work with children and each leader receives child safety training. Children's Ministry leaders must adhere to the PCV Safe Church Policy, Safe Church Code of Conduct and Drouin Presbtyerian Church's Children's & Youth & Ministry Policy

Youth Group

Each month the youth meet for youth group, to spend time together hanging out, have fun, discuss big questions of life and faith from the Bible and eat some tasty snacks. Check the News page to confirm dates. Youth Group meets at the Church Centre and costs $5 per child attending or $10 per family in total.

Youth Bible Studies

Each week the youth meet to read and discuss the bible at an age appropriate level. This is a good opportunity to ask your questions and find real answers. Come along and dig into God’s word together! 7:00-8:30pm Mondays at the Church Centre.

Gravity Services

One Sunday a month (typically the third Sunday) at 5:00pm we hold a Gravity Service. The make-up of the service: Bible readings, prayers, songs, interviews, sermons are the similar to the weekly morning services but with a greater emphasis on engaging with Youth and Young Adults who are still coming to terms with how the Good News of Jesus can make a real difference in their life.

In 2024 we are going to be journeying with God through the Psalms as we delve into these Songs that stir the Soul.

Dinner is provided after the service at 6:30pm.

Dates for 2024: 18 February, 24 March, 21 April, 19 May, 16 June, 21 July, 18 August, 20 October, 17 November
