GRAEME LOWE

A long time ago Graeme and Wendy visited Drouin Presbyterian Church for the first time – in fact 1989 in Graeme’s final year of study at the Presbyterian Theological College – never thinking that one day they would move from pastoral ministry in Sydney’s inner-west to live and work in Drouin.

You can trust the Lord with the unexpected however, as Graeme learned growing up in a missionary family. Then in 1980 the Airforce sent him to Sydney – where he didn’t want to be – until he met Wendy and they married there. Since then, there’s a daughter Jayne, married to Joel who are active members of Warragul Presbyterians with their daughter Astrid. Graeme’s parents live with them in their own apartment and attend Drouin Presbyterian.

So Graeme and Wendy know what it means to be blessed by the Lord – including the opportunity for Graeme to serve part-time as Pastoral Assistant at Drouin Presbyterian - especially among our Seniors where Graeme and Wendy feel they fit well and love to be. Additionally, Graeme works part-time with Chairo Christian School in Biblical and pastoral support. Wendy also works there as the Head of Kindergartens.

Grand-parenting and gardening are two favourite hobbies.

Psalm 62 is Graeme’s default place to go for focus: “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I shall not be shaken. My salvation and my honour depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
