At Drouin Presbyterian we place a high priority on supporting parents in the task of raising their children to know and serve Jesus. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Consequently Children are most welcome in church. However, should the need arise, there is some seating in the foyer for families who wish to take young children out of the main church area if they become unsettled. Also, during the 8.40 am service, there’s an audio link to the parents’ room in the Church Centre. The morning services include a short kid’s talk.

A crèche is available (with approved carers) during the sermon of the 8:40 am service. Parents are invited to take their young children to crèche during the song prior to the main message if they wish to make use of these facilities and to collect them again after church!

Sunday School Classes for children in Kinder to Grade 6 run in the Church Centre each Sunday morning during school terms. Classes start at about 9.50 am (during the last song of the 8:40 am service) and finish just before the start of the 10:40 am service. Sunday School classes are therefore accessible to children regardless of which morning service they attend.

Beyond Sundays we have other ministries for children both regularly in term (KidZone) and during the Winter School break (Illumin8).

KidZone is for children in Prep through to Grade 6 and runs fortnightly on Fridays from 5:00pm-7:00pm.  A light meal will be provided and it is asked that parents provide a donation of $3 to contribute towards the cost of the meal as well as contributing to other costs associated with running the program.

The dates for KidZone 2019 are:

Term 1: 8 & 22 February, 8 & 22 March, 5 April

Term 2: 3, 17 & 31 May, 14 & 28 June

Term 3: 26 July, 9 & 23 August, 6 & 20 September
